Color- body is brown to grayish-yellow and has three dark stripes on top  /   Shape-long, flattened, segmented bodies     /   Legs-one pair of legs per segment- 15 pairs encircled by dark and white bands  /    Size- up to 1 1/2 inches long  /   Antenna-No   /    Flying-No

Region- Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Centipedes prefer residing in damp portions of basements, closets, crawl spaces and bathrooms. In the Calgary area, house centipedes feed on small insects, larvae, and spiders.  Most home owners consider centipedes a nuisance in the home as they could bite though they do not often and are not dangerous.
